Nike x Off-White Dunk Low ‘Lot 42 of 50’

Virgil Abloh pays homage to Nike Basketball silhouettes from the 1980’s skate culture with the Nike Dunk Low Off-White Michigan. When Nike launched the Dunk as the cornerstone of the program of their Nike College Color in 1985, seven different colleges were depicted in the first colorways that were offered, with Michigan being one of the first.

The Nike Air Rubber Dunk x OFF-WHITE “Green Strike” is a reconstructed take on the classic Nike silhouette. It features a layered upper of the P-6000 runner and has mostly black palette with vibrant green accents. The Swoosh and branding are outlined in green, as well as the tongue tag which says “Nike Off.” The eye-catching hue is repeated on the sneaker’s tooling and frames a visible Air sole unit.

The Nike OFF-WHITE x Air Rubber Dunk is a special edition shoe that was created in collaboration with Virgil Abloh’s luxury streetwear brand. The shoe is a reinterpretation of the classic low-top basketball sneaker, and features design elements borrowed from the world of lifestyle running shoes. The upper part of the shoe is made from white mesh, with blue accents and metallic silver overlays. The bottom part of the shoe features a gum rubber cupsole with visible Air cushioning. Virgil Abloh’s personal stamp can be seen on the orange tab on the outlined Swoosh, and on the Helvetica text on the medial side panel.

Three decades after its debut, the Air Jordan 4 gets a remake in the iconic Off-White style. Through a tasteful placement of leather, suede, mesh, and translucent materials, the “Sail” colorway is dressed in a warm cream color. Signature elements such as the zip tag and translucent heel tab further enhance the deconstructed aesthetic.

The Nike OFF-WHITE x Dunk Low The 50 NO.7 is a collaboration between Nike and Virgil Abloh, taken from the ‘Dear Summer’ collection. The Dunk Low is a low-top sneaker made with a white leather upper and soft grey canvas overlays. It features Virgil Abloh’s signature flourishes, like a plastic zip tie and printed Helvetica text. With pops of color on the secondary lacing system, zip-tie, exposed-foam tongue, and rectangular Swoosh tab, this sneaker is limited to fifty pairs total. On the lateral midsole is a ‘7 of 50’ badge, making this an ultra-rare and exclusive sneaker.
